Manchester United and Liverpool have reportedly been quoted £100m if they wish to secure services of Napoli’s centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly.

Man City had previously been rumoured with the Senegalese international before they opted to secure services of Ruben Dias from Benfica last summer.

As a result, the Red Devils and the Merseyside Reds could lock horns for the highly-rated centre-back, although talkSPORT’s Jim White has claimed that they will have to pay a nine-figure sum in order to lure Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli.

“There isn’t a window in the last two, three or four that we don’t see big mentions of the Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly,” White said. “This morning, I spoke to Aurelio De Laurentiis, the Napoli owner, and said what about your player, are there bids in for him?

“He laughed it off saying he’s not for sale. He’s absolutely not for sale unless one of the big clubs in England come up with £100m.”

Koulibaly, who has played over 260 games for Napoli, has featured 18 times in all competitions at club level this season.

Signing Kalidou Koulibaly would help both Liverpool and Man Utd to improve their back-line and would help to compete for the Premier League trophy.
