Manchester United are allegedly holding discussions with the agents of Celta Vigo youngster Stefan Bajcetic over a possible move to the English giants.
The 16-year-old sensation currently turns out for O Celtina’s B youth team, with the defender featuring two times during the 2020-21 campaign.
According to a recent report by La Voz de Galicia, the highly-rated youngster could be heading for United in the immediate future as his representatives are locked in negotiations over a switch to Old Trafford.
The report states that a deal will not be concluded until a compensation sum is agreed with Celta, with Bajcetic’s representative insisting that the Spanish outfit are rewarded for his client’s development.
The defender’s displays at the youth level are believed to have attracted the attention of the English outfit, who could look to close a deal in the coming weeks.
Elsewhere, Manchester United have allegedly reignited their interest in Atletico Madrid star Saul Niguez.
The 26-year-old midfielder was linked with a switch to United all throughout the summer, but a transfer failed to materialise and Niguez remained at the Wanda Metropolitano.
With talk mounting over Paul Pogba’s future, Todofichajes states that United have rekindled their interest in Niguez, but agreeing on a fee with Los Rojiblancos may prove problematic.
The report adds that the 20-times English champions will go as high as €70 million (£63 million) for the midfielder.
But Saul has a €150 million (£135.1 million) release clause in his Atletico deal, and Diego Simeone’s side have all the power in talks, with Saul contracted to the La Liga heavyweights until 2026.
