Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward is lining up an official £35million bid for Brazilian Carlos Vinicius, according to The Sun.

Scoring goal after goal at Portuguese side Benfica striker Vinicius could be available at a cut price due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Vinicius has bagged 20 goals in all competitions from 33 appearances and an even more impressive 15 goals in 19 league games.

At just 25-years-old, the Brazilian marksmen still has plenty of years ahead of him and could be a shrewd acquisition from United.

Benfica only signed their man last summer from Napoli for £15million, and now value the goalscorer with a £88million release clause.

However, due to the current pandemic so many clubs are in need of a cash injection and United are hoping to secure the striker at a reduced fee.
