Manchester United have been interested in Milan Skriniar for a long time and the latest reports suggest that the Inter Milan defender could be lured for cheap this summer.

According to Tutto Sport via Sport Witness), the likes of Man United and Man City offered 65 million euros (£58million) to hire the services of the Slovakian international but the Nerazzurri opted to reject the moves. It is claimed that the Serie A side also rejected bids from Bayern and Real.

The Italian source have mentioned that Inter rated their prized asset at 80 million euros. However, the 25-year-old has been inconsistent, especially in the second half of the campaign and therefore, his market value should drop.

Tutto Sport claim that now, the Italian club cannot ask for 80 million euros. Back in May, Mirror Sport revealed that the central defender is valued at around £52.5million.

However, yesterday, La Gazzetta Dello Sport published a story and reported that Skriniar has been average this season, so, Inter Milan value him at just 50 million euros (£45million) and would consider offers for him in the summer.

The famous Italian outlet have mentioned that the likes of Man United, Man City and even Liverpool are interested in signing him.

The 31-capped international has been one of the best central defenders in the Serie A but as mentioned above, in the current campaign, he has not been able to put in top performances regularly.

In the second game after the resumption of football, Skriniar was sent off and missed three games due to suspension. In the last league games vs Hellas Verona, he returned to start but failed to impress as Inter conceded two goals and earned just a single point.

As far as Manchester United are concerned, things in the defense have largely improved for Solskjaer after he opted to lure Wan-Bissaka and Magurie last summer.

In your view, do the Red Devils need to further amplify the quality of their back-line in the upcoming transfer window?
