Manchester United are reportedly ready to reignite their interest in Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer as they look to offload Paul Pogba.
The Lazio midfielder has long been on the Red Devils’ radar and was agonisingly close to a move to Old Trafford last summer, with Pogba set to depart to Real Madrid.
However, when Pogba’s move failed to materialise, United were forced to pull the plug on any deal for the Serie A star, leaving him stranded at the Stadio Olimpico.
The 25-year-old has made the most of his stay in Rome, scoring four goals and providing four assists from midfield in 24 Serie A starts, helping Lazio climb to second in the table where they sit just a point behind Juventus.
His displays this season have convinced United that he would be a solid signing and they are now ready to seriously step up their interest and bring him to Old Trafford in the summer, according to Il Messaggero.
A move still may depend on Pogba’s future, particularly with Lazio set to demand £109million for the Serbia international to leave the club.
