Manchester United would reportedly be prepared to sell their out-of-favour playmaker Jesse Lingard for a fee of £20m this summer transfer window.
The 27-year-old attacking midfielder has struggled to make his mark for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side this campaign, managing to score only two goals and provide two assists in 36 games in all competitions.
English attacker was handed a start against Norwich City in the FA Cup on Saturday, however, the England international attacker once again struggled to make his mark and was replaced in the second half of the game.
The versatile forward’s current contract at Old Trafford set to end next summer, although the Red Devils have the option of activating a further 12 one year to protect his value.
According to The Sun, Jessie Lingard’s transfer value has ‘plummeted’ due to his recent struggles, meaning that he will be available for just £20m in the upcoming transfer window.
The Red Devils academy product has not scored or provided an assist in 20 Premier League games this season, while he was pushed further down the pecking order by Portuguese international playmaker, Bruno Fernandes’s arrival in January.
Man Utd have been also linked with signing Dutch playmaker Donny van de Beek and it seems unlikely to see Lingard player for Ole Gunnar Solskajer’s side once again.
