MEDICAL SCHEDULED: 5ft 11 star to have his Manchester United medical as deal edges closer to completion

Jadon Sancho to have his Manchester United medical after the Euros

According to BBC Sport journalist Howard Nurse (h/t The Express), English wonderkid Jadon Sancho looks set to have his Manchester United medical after this summer’s European Championship.

The 21-year-old is closer than ever to completing a move to Old Trafford this summer. He is currently with the English squad as they prepare to take on Germany in the round of 16.

United have followed the player’s progress at Borussia Dortmund for some time now. They have already informed that the Germans that they are ready to make an €85m bid for the player. While it is a little lesser than what Dortmund want, the deal is surely inching closer.

Nurse goes on to add that the timing of the deal will depend on England’s involvement in the Euros. While an agreement with the clubs could still be concluded beforehand, the medical will have to wait.

According to the report, United are confident Sancho will be their player. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has already started planning for life with the 21-year-old and hopes that he will prove to be the answer to United’s needs on the right-wing.

The player meanwhile is enjoying an unhappy spell with England at the Euros. He has played a grand total of six minutes in the group stage and appears to be consigned to the bench.

With England set to face Germany in the last 16, they face a formidable challenge in their efforts to move into the quarter-finals. A premature exit will not be the worst thing to happen if you’re also a United fan. After all, not only will we be able to wrap up the Sancho deal quickly but also afford to give the likes of Marcus Rashford some well-deserved rest.

Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has since confirmed that the deal for Sancho is closer than it has ever been in the past. With the negotiations heading towards the final stages, we may finally be about to get our man.

According to the Guardian, Sancho has already agreed to personal terms on a five-year deal worth about £350,000-a-week. This will make him one of the best-paid players in the league.
