Manchester United would allegedly have to be ready to pay at least £100 million to stand a chance of landing Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in the summer transfer window.
The Red Devils are likely to move for a new number nine ahead of next term, with Edinson Cavani set to depart on a free transfer, while there remains lack of certainty surrounding living legend Cristiano Ronaldo’s future.
There have recently been reports that Mauricio Pochettino will eye a move for Kane if the Paris Saint-Germain manager becomes the new head coach at Old Trafford for next season.
The Englishman would reportedly be open to joining the Argentine tactician at the Theatre of Dreams, having failed to engineer a big-money transfer to Manchester City last year.
According to ESPN, a move to United ‘is a possibility’, but the 28-year-old star would cost the 20-time English champions at least £100 million during this summer’s transfer market.
The report adds that Harry would also want wages in the region of £350,000 per week, which would place him along with David de Gea as the second-highest earner at Ralf Rangnick’s side behind Ronaldo.
He has scored 17 goals and notched three assists in 34 appearances for his side during the 2021-22 campaign, while the player only has a little over two years left to run on his existing deal.
