Manchester United are reportedly on the verge of completing a deal for Saul Niguez after agreeing on a sum with Atletico Madrid.

The Old Trafford outfit are already planning for the next campaign and are rumoured to have earmarked Saul as the perfect replacement for Paul Pogba.

According to Spanish outlet Todofichajes, the Red Devils have practically concluded a transfer for the star, with the Premier League side allegedly handing over £70 million for his signature.

That is down from the £131 million Atletico Madrid management were originally holding out for prior to the COVID-19 pandemic changing the landscape of the upcoming transfer market.

The move depends on Paul sealing a move away from the club, however, as the club need to first raise funds through player sales. Real Madrid and Juventus are the only clubs realistically in the running to sign Pogba.

In other news, Aston Villa have made it clear that they won’t be lowering their £80m valuation of Jack Grealish even if they are relegated from the PL.

The 24-year-old star has been in impressive form for Dean Smith’s side during the 2019-20 season, scoring nine times and contributing eight assists in 31 appearances across all competitions.

Villa are currently 19th in the PL table, though, and face a battle to stay in England’s top flight, should the 2019-20 season be allowed to safely resume in the coming weeks.

The Red Devils continue to be linked with the Englishman and had reportedly hoped that the midfielder’s price would drop to £50 million if Smith’s side were relegated.

However, according to The Mirror, the board will not be lowering their £80 million valuation even if they drop back down into the EFL Championship.

    • To much talk about who they want to sign
If you can afford the player and he is keen to join up sign him
But please get rid of Progba
He does not have Utd in his heart and that’s why Fergie sold him some years ago.

  1. If Man U accepts anything less than what they get for another player, I would have to look at the club with a different eye. One that can see them as awesomely STUPID!

  2. Tired about hearing about Pogba. Its time for him to disappear and be away from Man United. Anyone, but Pogba is good enough.
