Today, reports coming from Spain indicate that Manchester United are determined to sign Ansu Fati from Barcelona.

According to Sport, the Red Devils have already made an offer of 100 million euros for the 17-year-old winger but that bid was rejected by the Catalan giants. Now, it is claimed that Man United are ready to come with a mind blowing offer to lure the teenage sensation.

The renowned Spanish source have mentioned that the Old Trafford outfit are ready to offer over 100 million euros (£90million) for the youngster, however, the Spanish champions have made it clear that the player would only be allowed to leave if his clause of 170 million euros is activated.

Fati made his debut for the senior Barca side in the current campaign and has proved to be a major hit. So far, he has started just 7 games in the La Liga and directly contributed in 5 goals (4 goals and 1 assists).

Already, the Guinea-Bissau born attacker has made 24 appearances for the five time European Champions and has already opened his account in the Champions League (vs Inter Milan).

Sport claim that Barcelona have been trying to agree a new deal with the Spaniard and raise his release clause to 400 million euros. However, so far, they have failed to do that and Man United took advantage of this delay with the help of super agent Jorge Mendes and opted to move with the initial 100 million euros offer.

It is further stated that the Premier League club keep on pushing to agree the signing of Ansu Fati and Barca are aware that Man United could heavily increase their offer to get the signing done. The only thing working in favor of the Spanish side for now is that the player is happy in Barcelona.

Manchester United do need to improve things in the attacking third in the summer but to spend over £90million for a young boy, who has thus far only started 11 games in all competitions in his senior career, makes no sense.
