Man United are reportedly on the verge of the signing of Atletico Madrid playmaker Saul Niguez.
The Spain international fuelled rumours that he could be heading to Man Utd this summer when he claimed last weekend that he would announce his next team within days.
As it transpired, the announcement related to a football project in his hometown of Elche.
The speculation rumoured the 25-year-old with a switch to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side has continued to increase, though, and according to reports from Spain the creative midfielder is set to join the 20-times English champions in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Red Devils have allegedly agreed a €80m (£71m) deal with Atletico Madrid, and the Spaniard is keen to depart from the Wanda Metropolitano after falling out with manager Diego Simeone.
Spain international playmaker who has also been rumoured with a switch to Barcelona has managed to found back of the net four times in 37 games during the 2019-20 season, including a goal against the Merseyside Reds in the last-16 stage of the Champions League.
The ex-Real Madrid starlet has a deal with Simeone’s side until June 2026 and the Red Devils thought to be his favoured destination if he makes Premier League move.
