Despite the Coronavirus putting a hold to the Premier League season and despite the fact that the transfer window is still months away, there has been alot of speculation in the media about possible arrivals to Stamford Bridge, with a striker on the agenda.
It is no secret that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to improve this side with some big time signings, and reports in the media have suggested he will indeed get the £200 million it will take to sign some top-class, big-time names players in the summer, with a striker on the list
And that has led to some speculation in the media suggesting that United are interested in signing the very impressive David during the summer transfer window.
He’s since proven himself as one of the brightest talents in world football having scored a phenomenal 37 goals and provided 15 assists in 83 appearances for the club.
And Belgian newspaper HLN claim United have entered ‘exploratory talks’ with Gent to discuss the player’s availability in the upcoming transfer window.
David has admitted his desire to play in the Premier League, meaning that United have the perfect opportunity to beat off the likes of Barcelona to try and get a deal done, but his massive £70 million asking price may come as a stumbling block.
United are in need of adding another striker to the side, there is no doubt about that, but David is a talent that needs developing, so it could be a few years before fans got to see the very best of the Man, if United managed to secure a transfer deal.
